Aviva Ramras is one of the founders of Teaneck Speech and Language Center.
After working for several years in the New York City diamond district supervising a hearing-impaired woman, Aviva Rosenblum Ramras decided to pursue a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology.
Two-and-a-half years, one husband and one daughter later, VV (as she is known to her clients) worked at Brookdale Hospital in the outpatient clinic and the rehabilitation center, servicing children and adults with a variety of speech and language disorders. She then decided to move with her husband and daughter over the Bridge to New Jersey, and spent seven years with Bergen County Speech and Language Associates in their Fort Lee and Norwood offices. During these years, VV further developed her evaluation and therapy skills, concentrating mainly on the preschool and school-age populations. It was there that she met Joanne Kornbluth, and soon after, the idea of Teaneck Speech and Language Center became a reality.
VV is recognized for her energy and her outgoing nature, but especially for her crazy socks. She hopes that her enthusiasm and her love of children make the therapeutic process easier for both the children and their parents, ensuring that her clients reach their maximum potential under her guidance. VV speaks Hebrew fluently and is PROMPT trained.
In her spare time, VV “relaxes” with her husband and four children, and is active on various school and community committees.
