Freda Moncarz Attinson is a licensed and certified speech pathologist in New Jersey and New York. A native New Yorker, Freda's clinical fellowship was completed at the St. Francis School for the Deaf with toddlers and preschoolers, followed by four years at Brookdale Hospital working in acute and long term care settings with head trauma and stroke patients. Freda further expanded her skill set by working for four years with blind toddlers and preschoolers at the Lighthouse Preschool program, and by working with mild-moderately language impaired children, as well as children along the autistic spectrum, at the Village Child Development Center. Following her family's move to New Jersey, Freda joined the nationally acclaimed Therapeutic Nursery at the JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly, NJ, which serves children and their parents in a unique interdisciplinary program. In 1999, Freda joined Joanne Kornbluth, Aviva Ramras and Elyse Bergman, as they all ventured to fulfill their dream of establishing a private practice. She especially enjoys coordinating and running social skills groups to help children improve their pragmatic language skills. Outside of the office, Freda enjoys the company of her husband, two sons and her dog, Rosie. She unwinds with community projects, bike riding, the gym and sinking her teeth into a good book at the beach.
