Alisa is a licensed speech language pathologist in New York and New Jersey. Over the past 9 years, Alisa has developed a thorough developmental approach to working with students with a range of language and communication challenges. Her experiences working in a therapeutic nursery, as well as in various special education settings has given her a unique understanding of language learning and its implication for academic success. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience performing diagnostic testing using a variety of standardized and non-standardized measures with students ranging from preschool through early adolescence. In addition to working at Teaneck Speech and Language Center, Alisa currently works as the Speech and Language Pathologist for Sinai Schools, where she leads individual sessions as well as group language lessons, phonological awareness groups and social thinking groups on a weekly basis. Additionally, she collaborates with teachers to develop strategies for reading, writing and language instruction across the curriculum. As an enthusiastic and passionate therapist, Alisa is devoted to providing individualized attention and consideration for the specific needs of each child. Alisa resides in Bergenfield with her husband and three daughters.
